Best Lawn provides three seasonal fertilizations to customers as part of the Six Step Turf Management Program, each of which consist of a granular material:
- Early Season Fertilizer: This application is applied first thing in the spring and provides the necessary nutrients to boost your lawn’s growth through the spring and into summer.
- Mid-Season Fertilizer: This application is typically applied in June/July and will keep your lawn looking healthy, thick and green.
- Fall Winterizer Fertilizer: This application is done in the fall to fortify your lawn for the winter season and improve growing potential the following spring.
Why Fertilize?
Fertilizers add nutrients to the soil to help plant growth.
The key nutrients that lawns need are:
Nitrogen is used by plants to push leaf growth and boost its green color.
Potassium helps grass to better tolerate disease and environmental stresses.
These nutrients are very important for plant function and are also the elements most deficient in soils. That means without lawn fertilization, your grass isn’t going to thrive. Fertilization is a key differentiator between a so-so lawn and one that is looking and performing its best. Healthy lawns help keep weeds from taking over as well.
